Camera Gear Cleaning: Where the VACDRA mini Fits
Share
Camera lenses need specialist care. Before cleaning any optical glass, sensor or coated surface, follow the camera or lens manufacturer’s instructions.
The VACDRA mini pocket vacuum cleaner and air duster is designed for small, dry cleanups. Around a photography setup, that can mean loose crumbs in a gear bag or dust on a suitable work surface.
Start with the right cleaning tools
For optical glass and sensors, use the tools and methods recommended by your equipment manufacturer. Do not place a vacuum nozzle or brush against optical coatings or use the Mini inside an exposed camera body.
Keep the surrounding workspace tidy
Switch equipment off and keep lens caps fitted while cleaning the surrounding area. Remove loose belongings from your camera bag before collecting dry debris. Check delicate fabric and finishes first, and avoid forcing attachments into small openings.
Use airflow with care
Keep airflow away from exposed sensors and delicate components. Do not blow loose particles deeper into camera controls, sockets or lens mechanisms. If you are unsure whether a surface is suitable, stop and consult the equipment instructions.
